The reading list

Somewhere to start on any region of the brain this site draws, and every region with a way into the map. The papers were picked by hand; the sentence under each one says why that paper and not another.

What the labels mean. Most regions of this atlas have no literature of their own: nobody writes “Area 7PL” in a title. So each paper says what it is actually about. about this region means the paper studied that region. territory means it is about the larger area the region belongs to. atlas means nobody has singled the region out, and the paper is the one that drew and named it.
