Playground
The other pages are about models: movement computed from a real system rather than drawn as a curve. This page is about how a control behaves in the hand. Each experiment is one idea about the moment of use, built small enough to feel and honest enough to test. Everything here is original. Where an idea came from someone else's work, that work is named.
Adjusting
A settings panel exists to change what is behind it, and while you are changing it the panel is the one thing you should not be looking at. Take hold of any control here and every other control leaves. What stays is the one you are holding, at its own place, over the scene it is changing, with its value live. Let go and the panel comes back. It works the same for a switch as for a slider, and from the keyboard. The scene is generated, a stand in for whatever a real panel would change.
After an interaction Masataka Hakozaki showed in April 2026: the rest of the UI hidden while a display setting is adjusted, so the adjustment is made while looking at the screen. The idea is his, the build here is original.
